The cruise starts and ends in this historic city. For the genealogists we will have opportunities for you to consult with professional genealogists from Eneclann to assist you in learning what your next steps should be, what record sets to consult and where those records are located. The consultations are in 30 minute increments and fees are payable directly to the genealogist
Then it's on to Northern Ireland for a look at those Ulster ancestors. The day is a bank holiday in Ireland, but you will again have the opportunity to consult with genealogists from the Ulster Historical Foundation to discuss next steps, record sets and location of those records. These consultations are also in 30 minute increments and the fees will be paid directly to the genealogist
Our next port is Greenock, the port many of our Scottish ancestors sailed from. There will be the opportunity to conduct research at the Mitchell Library, home of the Glasgow City Archives and a ScotlandsPeople hub.
Following a day at sea, we arrive in Inverness where researchers will have the opportunity to research at the Highland Archive Centre, which also has a ScotlandsPeople Hub
Our final research opportunity is in Edinburgh where researchers will have the opportunity to visit the ScotlandsPeople Centre and the National Archives (combined as the National Records of Scotland)
